Community Advisory Committee, a model of good practice!

Dear ones, we are extremely happy to share with you a piece of the activity we carry out during this period, for the people from 2 vulnerable communes, Valea Seacă, Bacău County and Dimăcheni, Botoșani County. What have we done so far in these communities? First of all, we created a Community Consultative Committee both in Valea Seacă and in Dimăcheni, to empower the community in the decision-making process. We want to promote Community Advisory Committees as an example of good practice, a model that can be successfully adopted by other communities, because the Community Advisory Committee is, in fact, the united voice of the community, the entity that knows the problems of the community. involves identifying solutions by participating in decision-making consultative meetings.

The project is implemented by Star of Hope Romania Foundation in partnership with Association of Roma Bears from Dagata with the financial support of the Active Citizens Fund Romania, programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021.

We have graduates!

We are proud of our children from the center of Valea Seacă because they went to school, they were consistent, they worked, and now, at the end of the school year, they reap the fruits of their work. We are glad to see that, through the School after School activity, the children gained interest in educational activities and understood how important it is to be trained, informed and learned.

Tailor by profession!

Tailor by profession!

At Valea Seacă, within the training and development program of work skills, mothers learned to cut and sew their own clothing, pillowcases, tablecloths. We are glad to see their interest in learning a trade, to be able to do useful things for their family on their own.
